UNBOXING: Gingham Check Type A (AKB48)

Gingham Check / AKB48

I'd like to take a break from the simultaneous Heart Ereki-related posts so here's my Gingham Check Type A unboxing! :)

Yuko solo cover... She deserves it!

CDJapan bonus photo features Yuko and Jurina.

Inside the cardboard, we see the jewel case containing the CD and DVD. It would be nice if they do this with the other singles because it's better this way. Sorry for the different lighting.

The color combination is really sweeeeeet.

Umeda Ayaka insert photo. While I'm not a big fan of Umechan, I'm happy that I got a senbatsu member. This is also a memorable single for Umechan (her first senbatsu appearance) so I won't complain this time.

Gingham Check's packaging quality is one of the best, if not the most, among AKB48 singles. Aside from the cardboard AND the jewel case, the booklet is top-notch. The images and texts were embossed with glossy material and not to mention, the physical single is beautiful by itself. It's also nice to see how they managed to stick to theme: Hollywood film.

Although Gingham Check is not really something that reflects Yuko as center unlike Heavy Rotation, it did not fail to capture my heart. The music video is beautiful just like the packaging. Also, the coupling songs and their music videos (with the exception of DoReMiFa Onchi) are quite good.

I honestly like Type B more than Type A because B has Nante Bohemian and Show Fight, one of my most favorite AKB48 songs. But what made me love this type is that it contains the 4th Senbatsu Election Documentary. I'm a sucker for those kind of stuff.
