I first got introduced into the AKB48 fandom some time during this period (between the release dates of Sakura no Ki and EbiKachu). Since EbiKachu's music video made reference to many of their past music videos, some people were ranting that it's too early for AKB48 to have a tribute single. 

As a hater back then, I hastily agreed. But seeing AKB48 today -- the AKB48 that is now accepted as Japan's national idol group -- really means a lot to me as a fan.
