Report: AKB48 #Sukinanda Individual Handshake Event Part 2 (Nov. 4, 2017)

This is the second part of my #Sukinanda HS report. For this, I'll be talking about Watanabe Mayu's and Ichigochanzu's stages, the art exhibit, Aikabu lottery and the goods and freebies I got from the event.

One of my handshake tickets was supposed to be for NGT48's Otaki Yuria, but she already graduated last month. I've been watching her Showroom for quite some time and she immediately became my oshi, mainly because she reminded me of Akimoto Sayaka. Once, she called out one person in her Showroom who kept on commenting negative things about her. She scolded that person, saying, "How dare you come to my Showroom, spreading negativity to people who love Otaki-san (referring to herself)? Don't you have better things to do in your life?" Aside from that, the things I love about her is she's an Anime otaku, has a great singing voice, loves her cat and brother sooooo much and buys clothes at second-hand stores. Otaki-san seemed so genuine that 48G doesn't deserve her. I'm still sad that she already left but being an idols is probably not the best path for her.

Anyway, back to the event, I used my Otaki-san ticket to watch Watanabe Mayu's stage. I was surprised that it wasn't sold out since she already announced her graduation before the application period. (As a reference, Sayanee's and Team 8's stages were sold out.)

Watanabe Mayu Special Stage

Mayu was ten minutes late, which is not unusual for her. I got Block E which was behind the center-front row. Since  I was at the center, I had a relatively good view. For the first part, Mayu drew Muchichi and some weird things, which I think were smiling poops. We were allowed to take photos during the time she was showing them. At first, it was hard to take photos because of the lighting but Mayu gave some advice, saying we should press her face on the screen to get it right. Thanks, Mayu.

Stages only last for 20 minutes so I honestly think that the drawing portion was a bit pointless since she didn't even put any effort on them. That's why I was relieved to know she's gonna sing, especially when she chose Synchro Tokimeki for her last song. Her last song song wasn't determined yet so she asked for some suggestions. In the end, she just chose Synchro herself because the songs suggested by the fans were not on the list.

Setlist:
Drawing Session
Photo Session
M01 Love Shugyou
M02 Yokaze no Shiwaza
M03 Synchro Tokimeki

It's rare that AKB members sing live so I enjoyed the show a lot. Plus, Mayu was very genki and interacted with the fans a lot. I felt that she was just enjoying herself.

AKB48 15th Generation Ichigochanzu Stage

@o_megu1112
I applied for Ichigochanzu stage for Komi, obviously. This time, I got block C (first row, right) and even though it was in the front row, it was not a good spot to take photos. Good thing I lined up early because surprisingly, there were a lot more people who went during this stage than Mayu's. It's probably because Iino Miyabi has already announced her grauation and Mayu also had a stage the day after. Had I not lined up early, I don't think I would enjoy the show.

Fans were also giving out Ichigochanzu uchiwas before the event, which made the girls very happy. Almost everyone got one so the girls asked everyone to show the uchiwas during the final photo with the fans.

Setlist:
M01 Kimi no Hitomi wa Planetarium
M02 Kuroi Tenshi (Komiyama Haruka, Iino Miyabi, Yumoto Ami)
M03 Ashita no Tame ni Kiss wo (Taniguchi Megu, Fukuoka Seina, Okawa Rio)
M04 Heart Gata Virus (Mukaichi Mion, Sato Kiara, Tatsuya Makiho)
M05 Omoide no Hotondo (Iino Miyabi, Taniguchi Megu)
Photo Session
M06 Yuuhi wo Miteiru ka

Before the last song, the members posed for the photo session. Again, it was hard to take photos in block C so I wasn't able to take good shots.

Overall, I'm very satisfied at how this stage went. The members performed a lot of songs and they performed them professionally. I've heard that some of the past stages were just mostly MCs and even if there's singing, it's obvious that they weren't well-practiced. The only thing I would comment on was how Megu butchered all songs she participated in, especially Omoide no Hotondo. I felt bad for Miyabi because she sang well but Megu... well, yeah. I still love her though. Haha.

Members' Paintings Exhibit

Only for this day, members' paintings were displayed because there were handshake sessions wherein you get the chance to win a copy of your selected member's drawings with her sign. There wasn't anything spectacular about this gimmick since the exhibit pretty much looked like drawings of elementary students. Still, it was a good way to kill time while waiting for the next slot.

I took all members' paintings so if you want to see your oshi's masterpiece, just message me.

Aikabu Lottery

My friend bought Aikabu diamonds to try out the lottery. Basically, you have to buy the diamonds in front of the staff and you get chances to win a shirt or some cards. There were a lot of people winning shirts but my friend didn't get one. At least he got his oshimen's card. It's Yuihan, btw, not Nao. Sorry for the misleading photo. Haha.

Goods and Freebies

I also bought some photo packs (Janken and November 2017 ver. 1) and these are what I got. If anybody's interested in trading, just send me a message.

Before going home, my friend and I went to sign birthday messages for the some members and we got some nice freebies. None of my oshis were celebrating their birthdays but I did sign for some members that I kinda like. Aside from the freebies, it's also a good way to talk to your oshi's Japanese fans. Photos of the freebies at the end of the post

To end the day, my friend treated me with Mogi Shinobu's peach drink from the AKB48 café stall. It tasted good but for 700 yen, it's pretty expensive. But as what my friend said, fans are actually just paying for the coaster, not the drink. Luckily for me (but not for him), we got Komi and Hinana.

My friend's hand, my friend's drink and MY coasters, yay!

Haul for the day!!

To sum it up, it was an awesome day for me. Before coming, I was kind of thinking that it's probably going to be my last handshake but this experience made me come back to the fandom again. I would definitely come to see top oshis (Komi, Aanya, Jiina and Maichan) again and would probably add more to the list. For the meantime, I'll be working on the overdue Thumbnail 2S report. 'Til then.
