I haven't posted for some time because I've been busy with things but it's mainly my laziness kicking in. Today's different, however, since I woke up early and I find myself nothing to do. So I took this opportunity to do my yearly AKB48 Group ranking. This is the first time I had difficulty ranking my top members, mainly because I had a hard time comparing the graduates from the active ones.
It's a bit overdue but here's my updated ranking for the past year.
10. Kojina Yui
Many fans recognize Jiina as the "Mirror Girl," the hyperventilating girl who brought out a mirror to check if her face is okay.

Jiina was successful in leaving an impression to the public to sustain her momentum. She has been a consistent senbatsu member from Hikaeme to Shekarashika and has been getting gorgeous and gorgeous each day. Remember the time when she has just debuted?
Nobody thought she would turn out as gorgeous as this. Can you imagine she's just 17 in these shots?
Jiina caught my attention in Hikaeme I Love You when she first became a senbatsu member. She stood out mainly because of her looks. Jiina looked so different from other HKT48 members. Instead of being cute, she is drop-dead gorgeous. Her face looks like a bit of Michishige Sayumi, not to mention they're both narcissistic. And her hair! Jiina aims to be a shampoo commercial model and with a hair like that, it's not impossible for her to become one.
9. Fuchigami Mai

I took notice of Maichan because someone pointed out that she looks like my friend. I started researching more about her and find myself adding her to my oshi list. Maichan is not the type of girl I would oshi but she's really charming I don't care anymore.
Maichan is probably the most underappreciated among my favorites. I'll probably do a blog post solely for her to spread the love since the space here isn't enough for Maichan.
8. Murashige Anna

Shige has been consistent in my ranking and has always been my HKT48 oshi. I'm unsure if this will continue for long but I want to support her so she could go back to HKT48 senbatsu again. Okay, she was given another chance in 12Byou but got shafted in Shekarashika probably because she didn't rank.
As she age, she's getting more and more beautiful. She's actually beginning to look like Reina Triendl for me. Her modeling jobs are increasing and I can see why.
7. Sato Amina

I have honestly not seen much of Amina for the past year but whenever I do, I couldn't forget how much I love this girl.
From what I've seen, she's doing pretty well as a seiyuu. Last November, she released a single for iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls as Tachibana Arisu. To those who haven't heard Amina's voice for years, you can listen to her song below.
6. Wakatsuki Yumi

Her rank may slightly went down but my love for Waka has been increasing. She has been sporting her short hairstyle for the past year and it made her portrayal of Imadoki in Hatsumori Bemars extra convincing. Now, I don't care if she's going to let her hair grow or cut it again. Both fit her perfectly.
5. Sakurai Reika

If there's Waka, there's Reika. KojiYuu is still my top OTP but WakaRei is probably the real-est couple inside the 48/46 group. If you don't believe me, watch Nogidoko Episode 121 Valentine's Day Special and Nogibingo 2's The Letter Song episode.
4. Komiyama Haruka

As expected, Komi got higher in my list. She was actually my focus for the past year -- farming her online photos, growing my Komi photo collection, watching her performance and variety show appearances, etc. Komi could've actually been higher but her reaction towards the 2015 Sousenkyo results somehow made me think differently of her. I still like Komi but the attitude is not my cup of tea.
Lately, she's been going for a more mature look but I personally prefer her cute fringe topped with her biiiiiig smile.
It's good to see she's not being shafted by the management. She has been appearing in a lot of AKBingo episodes and she was chosen to participate in four songs in Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby including the one sung by her sub-unit, Mushi Kago. There's also a lot support from international fans. Hopefully, she'll rank this year because I honestly think it will be her last chance to prove herself.
3. Akimoto Sayaka

I've been following her Instagram and Twitter accounts and Sayaka's doing better than her last year in AKB48. She's been starring in dramas and movies because she CAN act.
Last October, her movie, Biku: Yamigirinochi was featured as part the 2015 Tokyo International Film Festival. It was commercially released the month after. Watch the trailer below.

KojiYuu never dies but I'm not sure how long she's going to be in this spot.

Completing my solid top three is my kami oshi, Kojiharu and I honestly don't think somebody could ever replace her.
Kojiharu's getting more and more popularity outside AKB48 as her modeling and CM jobs increase. Every year, everyone predicts her to leave but you see, she still hasn't gotten her solo single yet. In an interview with a magazine (I promise to look which magazine), she said she wants to do a solo single before she graduates. In the 2014 Janken Tournament, Kojiharu said had she won over Milky, she would be announcing her graduation.
With no3b being inactive, I desperately want Kojiharu's solo single. Before she graduates, wouldn't it be good if she gets her wish granted?

My oshi list consists of members from only three 48/46 groups. It's hard to keep track of everything so I choose to focus on few groups only. I still buy other groups' singles but my interest in them is fading over time.
